“This involved building a new bedroom on top of a first floor extension, creating a balcony and remodelling aspects of the top floor. The result is truly impressive and brilliantly crafted. Being an old building, some problems were encountered which required additional work e.g. To the gable on the main roof. “We approached SOHL through Checkatrade along with a number of other building companies for a quote on a rear extension to our property involving the demolition of our downstairs toilet to create an open plan kitchen, playroom and a side extension to add a new toilet, utility room and cupboard space. Stephen met us in person and stressed that he would be onsite everyday taking responsibility for and managing the project throughout. This gave us a lot of reassurance that we'd be dealing with the same person who had scoped out and pitched for the work. SOHL's quote was competitive, to the point that it allowed us to include additional elements (such as the demolition of an existing chimney stack, addition of underfloor heating etc) that we thought would be out of scope.
